For Real!

Have you every felt like all hell is breaking lose and everything is going crazy? I raised both of my hands on this question. This is how my week has felt, It has been one thing after another - children, work, school, finances, elder parent, and life. When we try to juggle all these things at one time, life can get very stressful. Feeling like we have to put out every fire, not realizing that the battle is not ours but the Lord. We as women, depending on our upbringing as a child ,or young adult, being overwhelmed may have become a way of life for you. We wear so many hats that they sometimes become very difficult to handle. This is why it’s so important to have a true relationship with God. He is the load lifter, the burden remover, peace giver, joy restorer and hope infuser.

In 2 Peter 3:9 (AMP) says, “The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.”

Situations and trials come into our lives to serve as wake up calls and yielding signs. When we surrender our will to God and repent for trying to handle everything on our own, we begin to see the heavy load lifted. God cares for us and desires only the best for his children. As I look back over my life as a single parent, there were times when it was very hard for me to surrender my all to God. Each time I refused to yield it meant I was failing the same test again. We will continue to fail God 's tests until we repent and give it to him - for REAL!. We must trust His way, knowing it is the BEST and ONLY way. I have learned that when we do things our way we get behind God instead of walking with God. Fear is a trust and blessing blocker. Presumption pushes you to go before God, and fear makes you walk behind God because of the lack of trust. Faith causes you to walk with God.

Remember God is not slack concerning his promise’s to you. Repent from your way of doing things. Surrender your heart, mind, and life to God’s divine way and see the fruit of his word come true over and over again in your life.
